    What were the free afternoons replaced with? One difficulty here may be if they were replaced with something better (or what to most people would be better).

    Yes, the holiday was paid for by credit card.
    The free afternoons and evenings were not replaced by anything ..... the time schedule being followed by the tour company meant that when we should have been enjoying free time, we were in fact travelling on our coach.
    Free time was also an essentail criteria for us when deciding to book the tour as my wife suffers from motion sickness. Having free time after a period of travel is essential to her ability to recover and well being. Arriving at hotels at 8.30pm and having to go straight for dinner after many hours on a coach, when we should have been there in the afternoon had a significant impact throughout the tour.

    How much (in percentage terms if it’s easier) are you hoping to claim back for the value of this holiday?

    Have you spoken to TUI/the cruise organiser yet? What did they say?

    I am hoping that they will refund the cost of the entry tickets to the sites which we were told would be included. I will also be claiming for each period of free time that we were told we would get which we did not, and also for some other issues. .... so the refund of tickets, plus 25% of holiday cost. Still awaiting reply from TUI. Will give them reasonable time to engage with me, and if not, will go down small claims route. I feel my case is fully justifiable and the amount I am claiming is likewise if one does the maths.
