Anyone else having difficulties with using OVO's Whatsapp service to contact them, or in fact contacting them by any means. Had an email a month ago saying the DD was going to increase by quite a large amount so I managed to speak to someone at the time and argued my case the property, which was my late Fathers and in probate, was largely empty so there was no need increase the DD, which OVO agreed to. Then last week I get another email saying the new increased amount will be scheduled for the 1st of November.

I've had no joy getting back to them by phone so reluctantly chose their Whatsapp messaging option and spent pretty much all of yesterday conversing with someone with each reply from OVO taking over an hour to come through until eventually it stopped altogether and then again, this morning, the same thing happened. We got to a point that the CS chap said yes they could hold the DD as it was but only if I agreed to a smart meter installation and when I replied I didn't want one at this time, the replies stopped. Looks like I'll have to try and spend tomorrow holding on the phone again.

i find twitter quite good for this kind of thing. same delay with a response but you can type a longer message and include screen shots of previous conversations and the conversation doesn't end at the end of the day.

when we moved to ovo and had a problem with the opening reading after a smart meter install then we also emailed via hello@ovo.com same issue with it taking a while to get a response but then again you have the full chain so a record of whats been said and not starting from scratch every time.

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
