Question about E-On East of England Electricity Charges Please

Good afternoon everyone,

We are currently on a 2 year fix which ends at the beginning of November. E-On have shared the following VAT prices for the replacement tariff -

Unit price = 52.90p per kWh, Standing charge = 38.94p per day.

The MSE article which shows prices per region from 1st October shows the following VAT inclusive prices -

Unit price = 35.06p per kWh, Standing charge = 38.94p per day.

Can anyone in the Eastern region share what they are being charged per kWh please. I am hoping the MSE figure is the correct one!

Is that replacement tariff a fix, or is it Next Flex?

If it's a fix, then you can ignore everything about the price cap or the EPG - they will not apply.

If it's Next Flex (the SVT), then the MSE prices are likely to be correct.

    Hi SparkyGrad,

Thank you for your reply. It is Next Flex.

I will query this with E.On, I may get an answer before the tariff changes, I expect they are rammed with enquiries at present.

This is what e-on quote on their web page.
    * The prices shown here don’t yet include the government’s Energy Price Guarantee (EPG) unit rate reduction – we’re working on getting these changed as fast as we can. But don’t worry, you won’t be charged these prices - you’ll get the reduced EPG prices on your bill.

Thank you for your reply gefnew.

That information isn’t showing in the “my account” section of their website which is where I logged into after receiving their renewal email.

That will certainly save me the job of contacting them, thank you again!
