As I understand the situation, they don't have to let you back onto the fix you have left - the cooling off period is for the new contract not for the old one.1

not sure - I think all providers will pull fixes until they assess the situation.0

Note the EPG stays in place till April and so covers this winter, whilst a fix till October 23 won't cover next winter. My guess is you can't revert to the old fix, but even if you could you probably wouldn't want to.
Also, we don't know what will happen from April yet, just not what was previously announced.0 -
Ask them, what’s the worst that can happen? Though I think their customer lines could be rather busy today0
