sse bills in credit over £350, can’t claim back, and d’s being increased - help!
Hello
My Sse ( part of Ovo) gas & electric accounts, paid for by direct debit, are nearly £350.00 in credit after my last weeks bills. Have rung several times to claim credit back waiting over 1/2 hour each time, never getting through. Have tried to reduce dd payments online, only to have them increased. It appears I have no control over my dd payments and no way of getting a refund. There has been no notification of how the £400 energy rebate will be applied by the company. I am thinking of changing supplier to get a refund, and change from d’s to pay on receipt of bill. Anyone else experiencing this? Any views on suppliers?
Thank you!

I wouldn't expect any supplier to be willing to give you a refund at the beginning of winter when you are only £350 in credit (if you were at the beginning of summer then maybe), but maybe you can give us a bit more info: What tariff are you on, what is your annual usage of gas and electric? What's your current DD amount?0
