Morning all, turned out nice this morning. Busy weekend, usual football related activities. After yesterdays we went to a farmers market at Hoghton Tower, a historic house not too far from us and it's a nice drive through the moorland hills. It was really busy as they were doing guided tours of the house too. Picked up a few food related items, then called at friends on the way back for a brew and catch up. I came away with 2 big bags of their garden apples, already prepped and frozen:). Had to do a jiggle round the freezers to fit them in of course, and did cook some.Did a gammon joint for tea, quite a bit left as DS didn't eat with us. They'll probably have the chicken and mushroom pie we bought yesterday & I'll have the gammon.Coxy, I bought a few things off there recently, but one hasn't turned up & was meant to be delivered on the 6th. I contacted the seller who said she'd msg the courier, & just noticed expected now 19th or 20th, she said that Ev ** had been having technical difficulties so hope yours are ok.I'll have a good tidy round as the messy menfolk are out. Have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9

Hi everyone,
We managed to see C, C and N yesterday although it turned out I only saw them briefly. We went across so that we could help them in taking Crystal's car to be part-exed. It is a very small 2 door Fiat so she hasn't been able to use it with Nate (although she's only been able to drive a couple of weeks). I went home to make a Sunday lunch but the visit to the garage took a lot longer than expected so they just came back, ate and left which was a pity, I got some short cuddles but hopefully we'll see them later in the week.
I'm half-way through re-organising my food cupboards, just the one with the cans to do now and then the fridge and freezer (which I'm dreading). Unfortunately I had to throw about some packets of nuts, I'll quite often use ood stuff but not nuts just in case, apart from that I don't seem to have too much wastage thank you. I have some polenta that needs using up very soon so I shall look for something to do with that this week.
Have a good day.9
