Main weekly shop done this morning in a lightning dash round Al’s - £20.97 which included a cheeky pizza and cheese garlic bread for me this evening while MrEH is on a night out with the rugby lads.
That’s £175.20/£200 for me then with a week to go - but I suspect I might have a few more bits to grab once I’ve seen what arrives in the veg box. I know most of it, but any replacements might change the meal plan a little.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I've come in £3.66 under my target this month, happy with that.
The sains smart shops app has come in handy for stocking up with butter and cheese, shampoo and porridge while they are on offer, although I am not a great fan of these phone based apps. I bought some wine while it was 25% off and used nectar points to pay for it, so not counting it in the grocery fund.
I've been sent some Waitrose money off vouchers which I'm using for Christmas/birthday presents, mainly chocs and fancy biscuits.
My inherited fig tree did well this year, I've got jars of chutney to give as presents and mincemeat for making into pies, they have also been a treat on my porridge with a little honey.
See you all on the December thread!Grocery challenge 2025: £650/1500 annual budget3 -
Morning all - final check in for me for November and it's a bust, although a slightly fuzzy one as I've ever so slightly lost track. There was a chunky T's spend on Saturday, BUT I'm knocking £10 off the total because Bailey's happened, and there were also ingredients bought for the christmas cake too which don't come from the "budget" as such. I'm going to call it at £215/£200 I think - so "over but could be worse".
I think I have already set December's budget to £250...and realistically it might stay there going forwards as something has to give somewhere. Key price increases noted this week were a 16p increase on the little punnets of baby plum tommies, and mushrooms increasing from around 84p/400g when the value ones were in stock, to £1.25/400g this week buying straight store brand ones.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

My last day of the Grocery challenge yesterday and the total came to £119.86 of £120. It would have been less if I had not had to crack open a big tub of peanut powder I'd purchased.
Still I am pleased with that outcome.
I think I'm the last one still in the thread.
