Apart from my own I monitor the bills of some others, all of whom are in the Eastern region and with Eon Next for Electric only.- (Due to SoLR's)
One has recently moved house and their Final Bill is the first one I have seen since the October 1st Tariff changes.

The Bill is in two sections - Section A deals with the tariff up to October 1st and is in the usual format, but Section B for October 1st onward is entirely different.
!st October Reading        216776.4 Estimated       The estimate is because the customer was away on Sept 30th, but gave a reading on the 29th
14th October Reading     21757 Customer read
Energy Used                     80.6 Kwh @ 50.39p/Kwh.............................£40.61
Energy Price Guarantee 80.6 Kwh @ 17.00p/Kwh.......................... - £13.70
Standing Charge             13 days @ 37.082p/day ............................ ..£  4.82
                                                              Sub total before VAT                £31.73

The Govt £66 is accounted for later on the bill which ends with a credit and the final price per Kwh is correct, but why the tortuous route to get there which will bamboozle many customers, are Eon flagging up what the costs will be after April 1st 2023?

  • They're applying the EPG (which started on 1 October) as a specific discount per unit.  Just like it has been explained on the fact sheet and how it is applied to fixed tariffs..

This is not particularly confusing (although not exactly as it was going to be explained previously).
  • My tariff is stated to be:

    Next Flex

    33.76 p/kWh 50.66 p/day

    (All rates inc. VAT)

E.ON Next are stating the pence per unit for the customer's agreed fixed tariff, and then applying the EPG discount to bring the unit rate down to the EPG level. I have not received an electricity bill yet but for gas that is exactly what I have received. The standing charge is still at the rate for the fixed tariff, in my case Next Online V15.
