Banking Apps - on more than 1 device?

Hello ,
Does anyone know which bank apps can be used on more than 1 device at a time ?
I know that Halifax allow this (as I have their app on two devices).
Anyone know of any others ?
Especially interested in Starling Bank and Chase.
Also if they only allow 1 device at a time, how easy is it to move the app to a new mobile?
Thank you for your replies

  • Starling let you use more than one device. You can also use a browser version on your laptop/desktop - but you have to use the App on a mobile device to authenticate the login (by scanning a QR code shown on screen) - it works well.

Nationwide also let you use more than one device. I use First Direct but you can only use one device at a time.

Chase is one device only, and they now make you reverify with ID documents when you want to change device. Lloyds is the same as Halifax. HSBC is the same as First Direct (though you can switch devices easily by deactivating the digital secure key).

The HSBC app also works on more than one device.

This is interesting. I could not log on to the app on more than one device when I tried a few months back. This is using the Digital Secure Key PIN method.

I had to phone them to move access from my iPad to my mobile phone. I also had to do this with First Direct.

I guess that they have recently changed this.

HSBC now let you run their app on 3 different devices
    Thanks.

I now have both the HSBC app and the First Direct app installed and running on my iPad and Android mobile phone.

Incidentally, I have these and every one of the banking apps I listed above on both of my devices. However I only have Chase on my iPad as my phone does not support Chase. The only banking app not supported by my phone.

Are you sure it's a few months ago? I've had my HSBC app running on both my tablet and phone for well over a year, and I was convinced it has been well over 2 years! I know you could only have the securekey on one device (maybe that's what changed a few months ago?), but the app still worked fine on the second.

A further update on HSBC and First Direct.

As per @callum9999 above, the HSBC secure code can only be installed on one device but I can log in on both mobile and iPad with my fingerprint.

I can now log in to First Direct on my two devices but only hold the secure key on one and I need the secure key from my mobile to log in on my iPad.

For the OP's question, the First Direct app is barely better than Chase but at least it can be accessed on more than one device.
