Opened a ybs before santander 2.75%. ybs says 14 days before i can transfer money

i never said i was worried i was asking a question to see if anyone could answer the question for me as it was top of the list and i would have thought a few people would have opened the account. this is one of the reasons why i dont post much anymore because you always get comments like this.

It seems random. I transferred to Yorkshire when it was the top rate and then opened  the account for the OH a few days later. Then opened the Santander when it came along, was able online to close the OH's account to Santander straight away while mine has to wait another 4 days to comply with the 14 rule, since account closing and withdrawals online is still greyed out.

Even if you could put a withdrawal request in today, you wouldn't see your money before sometime on Monday, anyway

CORRECTION: YBS do actually pay out one-offs (not SOs) over the weekend. I requested a payment from my 6 access account yesterday. It’s arrived in my current account just now.
