There was already a shortage & prices increasing before the war.
Came across this tonight:

EPG is potentially under review by the latest Chancellor, to be more targeted in its second year:0 -
With those prices I'd be tempted to stay on the fix, there's no guarantee that the SVT will remain the same for the next 2 years. The price may change at any time regardless of what they say.

I think they'll review and "tweak" after 6 months.
They rushed in the scheme and there are many that do not benefit at all.0 -

Seemingly now confirmed by The Times that the EPG will only be universal until April 2023 - then will become targeted and capped. We shall find out for sure shortly...

Bit unfair - the liveblog credits journos from all papers when they get a jump on newsThe_Green_Hornet said:

Hunt's just announced that the EPG will remain in place only till April 2023. A "Treasury-led review" will take place with the "objective to design a new approach that will cost the taxpayer significantly less than planned whilst ensuring enough support for those in need. Any support for businesses will be targeted to those in most affected and the new approach will better incentivise energy efficiency."
