EDF broke appointment

Waited in today for EDF to install a smart meter, they made the appointment and an sent email confirmation. However they didn't show up or notify me they weren't coming. when I telephoned for information they couldn't help me as their systems were not working so they could not access accounts. Pretty poor. Am I entitled to compensation for their no show and incompetence ?

I've yet another email this morning from EDF entitled "smart meters - BOOK NOW" - even tho they only supply my gas and I had a recent conversation with them ,pointing out that ,as I haven't got a smart leccy meter yet , the fitter will not be able to commission a smart gas meter. Left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing, comes to mind !!1

Wait 10 working days, so roughly the 17th and then email them, if they haven't paid you the £30 automatically within 10 working days without you prompting the, they'll have to pay another £30 or £60 in total
