Shares Award and CGT

Equity shares were sold in a company, and awarded in 2020 with CGT due at time of award. Payment of shares were made in three instalments, with one instalment left to pay in 2 years time. As the shares were awarded and the tax liability at the time of award, can the final instalment be accessed now/sooner? They currently sit within a company Thank you!

Your post is a bit confusing, not helped by all the use of the passive voice, and "They currently sit within a company" doesn't really shed much light on the situation, without clarifying which company, i.e. are you referring to your employer, an administrator, a broker/platform, etc, but it sounds like your question is best directed at your employer or whoever administers the share scheme.1

If you paid CGT in 2020, then the shares were sold in 2020 (poss 2019). Are you saying you haven't received all the money yet? That sounds like a contractual matter between you and your employer.0
