Help!!!! (About lady problems!!! Lol)

I wonder if anyone can help me shed some light on this.....

I am on the pill and took my last one on Friday - i usually come on on monday morning.... the same time every month can set my watch by it!

Not today.. i've had chronic period pain all weekend, and have not yet come on properly, i am bleeding only slighty (not even proper blood - just like at the end of a period)

What do you think??? Can anyone shed some light on this - should i be worried?

  • This happens to me quite frequently...Particularly if you've taken more than 1 pack in a row. Mine got half a day later each time, until it was day 5 of my break before i came on! a few months of only taking one pack at a time and it's righting itself now.

I wouldn't worry at the moment - but if you don't come on properly later or tomorrow i would go and see your GP
  • I'd def give it a day or so before worrying. Mine normally comes on a Friday morning but sometimes it's into saturday before it happens properly...

sometimes it is a lot lighter too for no reason
  • Strange i am prob's just over worrying cos i am usually as regular as clockwork, and i haven't ran any packs of pills together.

I will give it til tomorrow - thanks :)

mine tends to be a day later or so when i'm stressed (like being at home for christmas and being due on christmas eve..... the extra day then felt very long!). try not to panic about it!

Unlikely to be anything wrong but, given that you are normally so regular, it might be worth just ringing your surgery for reassurance if it hasn't sorted itself out in a few days.

I find that a massage oil containing clary sage is really useful for period cramps and a hot water bottle/wheat-bag comforting.

You could look on the positive side and thank your lucky stars that this isn't what you get every month/5 weeks/3 weeks/7 weeks. I have always been all over the place - right pain, I can tell you. (Not much comfort at this precise moment, I know)

Have you been on the pill for long? I was on the pill for around 10 years and towards the end my periods became lighter and lighter until they were only lasting 2 days. I think it was the cumulative effect of the prolonged use. I never ran packs together as I was on a triphasic pill and was advised I couldn't do this.

As mentioned, it might be worth speaking to your GP if nothing has happened in the next few days.

    Take care

  • any sign yet??
  • No nothing yet, and the slight dregs (sorry couldn't think of a better word) that i had have now stopped all together- but i still have cramps.

I have been on the pill since i was 17 - i am now 24, and this has never happened before, i have hardly slept worrying. I rang NHS direct and they have told me to do a pregnancy test - do i do one? At least if it is negative i can stop worrying?

Thanks for all the replies :)
