Child trust fund

How low can it go ? I have 3 grandchildren each with a child trust funds this post refers to one of them. Transferred in 01/01/2017 £794. Fund value at December 2020 £811. Value at December 2021 £935. Last Christmas I decided to give each of them £9,000. In the last few days the fund has dropped from £9,935 to £9,177, a drop of over £100 yesterday alone. How is this possible and how bad can it get ?

What are they invested in? I'm sure you've noticed that stockmarkets around the world have been falling lately. Can they go lower? Sure, why not? Are we closer to the end than the beginning?
