Hello all,
I have received a PCN from UK CPM.
We went to Vista Centre in Hounslow near London and we paid using just park app. Unfortunately, the Vehicle Reg entered was our other car. We have 2 cars.
We received a PCN. We appealed through their website explaining all the information. Provided photo of the V05 document to prove that the vehicle we paid the parking for belongs to us + Receipt of the payment. The appeal was rejected stating the following.

After careful consideration, it is unfortunate that I am writing to you today to advise that on this occasion, your appeal has been unsuccessful.
The decision to uphold your parking charge notice has been made on the following basis.
Whilst we note your comments, we must advise that the signage clearly states, "Enter your full registration number." As this car park is monitored by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras which capture time and date stamped images on entry and exit, it is imperative that you make payment for the correct vehicle registration to ensure we can match your payment to the vehicle parked. On this occasion, as you have admitted you paid for the incorrect vehicle registration, we were unable to allocate your payment. Therefore, we can confirm that this PCN has been issued correctly.
Please note. You now have 14 days from the date of this correspondence to make payment at the reduced fee of £60.00. If payment is not received within 14 days, the fee will increase to the full amount of £100.00.
You have now reached the end of our internal appeals procedure and therefore you now have two options; either pay or appeal to the Independent Appeals Service (IAS) - you cannot do both.
Do you think there is any point in appealing to IAS? How I should go about challenging the PCN?
Many thanks in advance,
Oadby Owl.

The IAS is a kangaroo court and only allows motorists to win about 4% of appeals. I suggest you don't bother with it.
Plan A is always to complain to the landowner or managing agent and your MP.
Get photos of the site and signage in case the PPC starts a court claim in the next six years. Give them any new address if you move in that time.
Ignore powerless debt collectors.
You could try a complaint to the IPC that their member has failed to comply with the Get Your Reg Right campaign that requires typo proof pay machines to be installed "as a moral duty", but don't hold your breath.
You could mention that the signs say, "Enter your full registration number", which you did, just for a different vehicle. Had the PPC used typo-proof machines, this would have been impossible.
