We have no mains gas in our rural Scots village.
Do we all get the extra £100 payment for being off grid under the Energy Bill Support scheme whether we use all electric, LPG, oil, wood, etc. to heat our homes?

Nobody knows yet as there are no details regarding qualification and payment method.The wording so far is vague and might apply to all those without the option to use gas, or may be restricted to all those who do actually use a fuel other than electricity for heating/cooking.0

Hi - the details haven't been published yet. There's potentially lots of complexity to this, and as such there isn't really much speculation about how this will work either, so it's a question of having to wait and see, I'm sorry to say.

Wasn't it also described as discretionary? So nobody should be working on the basis that they *will* get it, even if they do use something like oil for heating.0
