HDMI CABLE - WHICH ONE IS BEST?

I am buying a new OLED tv
I am getting all the cables set into the wall so want to ensure i buy the right HDMI cable
I have been told that an 8k  2.1 cable is the most up to date.
There are so many makes to choose from, most of which i have never heard of.
Can someone recommend a brand?
thanks

I would advise against plastering in cables - but maybe you were not going to do that anyway but use a cable tray or similar

More expensive is not equal to better.  A cheap cable from the pound shop will often do just as well as a £30 one from somewhere else.  You pay more for pretty packaging.
If you have no intention of obtaining 8k equipment (there are no 8k broadcasts and no plans to do any AFAIK) then its pointless.

All hi-speed HDMI cables can do 4k.

Also pointless if you don't have an 8K TV....As said, not worth spending great deals on the cables....The Amazon basic ones have been just as good as a £50 one that I also have...See HERE
Or, if you insist on 2.1 cables go for something like THIS....

They are all the same. HDMI cables are like quartz watches. A £10 watch will perform same manner as a £1000 watch.
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

2.1a is the latest HDMI standard

Are you buying an 8k TV?
What length is the cable going to be?

Unless you are going for a vast length, which adds other problems, I'd get the Amazon Basic like https://www.amazon.co.uk/AmazonBasics-High-Speed-HDMI-Cable-Black/dp/B08BRYJWSM/ref=sr_1_3 which covers your latest version and is a sensible price.

I was given 2 pairs of AudioQuest's Cinnamon which retail at £139 and there is no difference what-so-ever with the £6 Amazon Basic cables in actual results but they were free and so I used them.

There is no such thing as a HDMI 2.1 cable.  HDMI version numbers only relate to the chipsets in the devices that HDMI cables connect to.

The HDMI website tells you hoe HDMI cables should be labelled and what the differences are: https://www.hdmi.org/resource/cables
  • Can you try this one and review it for us all that can't so we can see whether it is worth it please?

Assuming they're not so cheaply made that the plug isn't properly terminated onto the cable, an HDMI cable is an HDMI cable.
I've bought loads of cables, including HDMI, from Kenable over the years and they've been absolutely fine.
