I have been using Paypal for a couple of years whilst selling donated items for a charity. Recently, I have bee continually asked to prove I'm not a robot, select pics and have a code sent to my phone even though I have asked it to 'remember me'. If I have Paypal open but am looking at another tab on the laptop for a while, when return I have been logged out and I have to through the process again. This is driving me mad............ What has changed?
I have messaged them on their help page three times and have not seen a reply........ What am I missing?
I'd be so grateful for any help at all. Thanks.

For weeks I have needed to use a code sent by text to log on to paypal. At least the texts arrive within a second or two

Driving me slightly mad too, being asked to put in a security code then I have to re-enter all of the information for the payment, and it not remembering me either for the next payment a few minutes later … I partly wondered if it was a ploy to make people turn to the app in desperation (I know it's not really).1

This has happened to me, but it can be triggered by using a 4G / 5G SIM card as your internet connection, or using a VPN.There may be other reasons for it as well, but I only recall experiencing the ReCaptcha thing (click on pictures) once recently and it was probably due to my IP address changing since I prevously logged in.0

The IP address is often far away with 4G / VPN connections. To my memory when I had a broadband line my IP address was always correctly located to within five miles. Maybe have a word with your internet provider.
