Moved home - how to find energy supplier

Hi I have just bought a new home and have gone on comparison sites for energy to be advised they can’t find quotes right now. How do I find the best option or do I just go with the provider used by the previous owner which was Eon?

You will be on a deemed contract with Eon. Contact them and supply them meter reads to get yourself set up.

You can look at moving after this but all tariffs are roughly the same at the moment so probably not much point!

You are now an Eon customer and must open an account with them, no other choice.

Once that is set up you can look around.

OK but how do I look around when no comparison sites are running? Or is there no point?

Prices will be the same. Customer service may be better elsewhere but not much to choose between them.

Little point at the moment unless you need special options such as the ability to charge an electric vehicle at a discount rate overnight.

If you are just a basic consumer then the capped SVT limit is probably as good as it gets with all suppliers.
