Faulty electricity meter refund

Our supplier has agreed that our previous electricity meter which we had before we had a smart meter fitted, was over-estimating our electricity consumption. They have agreed to refund the difference up until the date that we moved to them. Is it reasonable for me to expect our previous supplier also to provide an adjustment? And before them, we were supplied by our current supplier so is it reasonable to expect an adjustment for this time period too? Thanks!

When do you think the meter fault occurred and what evidence do you have to prove this? If I worked for one of your previous suppliers I think this is what I'd be asking...0

Truth be told i think you're pushing your luck here. But i don't blame you for trying, i would do too, lol. The issue is you have no proof when the meter was faulty / when it started to go wrong. Normally the current supplier will refund the difference from the date you told them you think it might be faulty to the date of the MEX (meter exchange). If they are doing it from the date you moved to them you are doing better than most
