Although gas is cheaper than leccy, this is bottled stuff, so I suspect it's almost the same?

Calor 15kg Butane refill is circa £39 make that £40 for around 400 kWh of energy... So 10p per kWh ... under 1/3 the price of leccy at the Govt capped rate.

Mind, I've seen some places that give prices online asking £50-£54 for a refill, but it is still cheaper per kWh than electricity.  At £60 it'd only be 15p/kWh...

Butane is 13.7 kWh/kg so more like 200kWh in a 15kg bottle.so now 2/3 price of electricity. Then factor in the combustion efficiency and the ventilation requirements to clear CO and water. I would say electric heating is cheaper, safer and more environmentally friendly.
