Mortgages for over 50 first time buyer

Hello all,
im in my 50s and never been on the property ladder. I am recently married. My husband has owned , but when he got divorced he relinquished the marital home completely because of his children. Now we are both renting and looking to get onto the property ladder soon. Are there any first time buyer options / incentives for over 50s? Indeed does he qualify for it being that he doesn't own a property anymore? It seems now that at this moment in life you have to be really young (under 40) and us late starters are sidelined and forgotten about. Thnx

Different lenders have different definitions as to what a first-time buyer is. Probably best to book an appointment with a mortgage adviser, or try these people:
