Bulb Smart Meter con?

Answers to my recent question about refusing a smart meter would suggest that the supplier must install one if the present meter is at the end of its life or they are installing a new meter in a new installation.dunstonh said:For new contracts, they are allowed to insist on a smart meter.
Why don't you want a smart meter?

At the moment it seems quite clear that you can refuse. I can see a good case for having one but for technical reasons I'm holding off until next year. If you have more up-to-date information on the rules it would be very useful. Thanks.0 -
Oh that's good to hearSally19 said:Firstly thank you for all your comments. I am £712 in credit and I submit manual readings on the 25th of every month like clockwork. My usage for Sept was £65.12. Bulb has now called and apologised to say they cannot make me have a smart meter and cannot withhold my money so they have this afternoon sorted this out. Thanks guys!
