In terms of consumer rights I just don’t understand how this can be allowed. I’ve complained to both curry’s and love2shop and received quite poor responses- it’s policy and there is nothing we can do.

You have the right to spend any of the individual vouchers - that doesn't mean you have to have the right to spend more than 1 per transaction.
Argos used to (may still) only allowed 3 vouchers per online order whether they were £10 or £50 vouchers - there was no limit on the number allowed in store

The OP does not say how many of the vouchers are Currys and how many are Love2Shop but, given that the latter can be spent in a wide range of locations, could the OP not buy these ones from the daughter and give her cash?  That would at least reduce the number of vouchers to be resolved to just the Currys ones.

You can also buy "You Choose" gift cards in Currys so, if you can buy these using the Currys gift cards, you could buy the "you Choose" gift cards from your daughter and give her the cash.

Your daughter can then buy the iPAD.

You can spend the "You Choose" gift cards in a range of stores, including Sainsburys so can just use that as payment for your weekly groceries.

One thing I did notice was you said your daughter had been saving up for the iPAD.  Gift cards often have a validity and become worthless if expired.  How long has she been saving for?

EDIT:  I checked online and it seems as though Currys gift cards can be used to buy the "You Choose" gift cards at the online check out.

As long as it is clearly written on the voucher its not really mis-selling as the policy is clear.

The Currys website indicates clearly that up to ten gift cards can be used in one transaction.

Do you have gift cards or paper vouchers? What terms are printed on the paper voucher

I don't know if this is a general rule with Currys, or if it's something that has been brought in recently.  Only a couple of months ago I had the misfortune of being stuck behind a couple using a large handful of gift vouchers to pay for an expensive item, so I know more than 3 can/could be used in store.
