Octopus Energy - Flexible Octopus October 2021 v1

Hello,

I'm with Octopus Energy on their Flexible Octopus October 2021 v1 for both elec and gas.

Elec
35.98p/kWh
46.95p/day

Gas
10.34p/kWh
26.84p/day

USwitch say there are no cheaper fixed deals available. Can you actually switch at the moment, or not?

Thanks

  • You can switch but you are unlikely to find a cheaper EPG tariff. Should 2021 read 2022? From the Octopus website:

‘If you're on a variable tariff like our 'Flexible Octopus', your new unit rates will match the Energy Price Guarantee, but your Octopus standing charges will be 4% lower – so you will be saving compared to Energy Price Guarantee rates from October 1st.’
  • Ah OK fair enough. It is 2021, I haven't changed since then.
