Depends on what the router you are connected to supports.0

Ok thanks…in that case I need to speak to my internet provider.0

You should be able to log onto your router and look at what the Wireless Access Point Security options are. You go to a web browser and go to the IP address that will be written on the router (usually 192.168.0.1 or similar) and log in with the admin details also usually written on the router itself.
How old is the wireless router as WPA2 has been the default for at least 10 years on pretty much all ISP's as WPA and WEP have been known to be weak for a long while. The other option is it is set to WPA2 but using the TKIP
I can only think that it has been set to WPA2 with TKIP as the encryption algorithm and needs changing to AES.0 -
My provider is TT. The router is probably 6 or more years old. It is a Huawei HG633 router.0

The HG633 doesn't support WPA3. That was only made mandatory on new devices n 2020, with certification available in 2018. It requires a hardware change (I believe) which you obviously can't do.It should support WPA2 (AES) though.0

Yes, the router supports WPA2. @TerryP, if you don't already have it, you can download the user manual for the router here - https://setuprouter.com/router/huawei/hg633-talktalk/manuals.htm. Instructions are on page 15.

If you can access your router using the credentials printed on it, it would be prudent to change the admin password and store the new password somewhere safe. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0
