If you have a smartphone you could install the EDF app as I believe that shows your account balance if you are on Budget Direct Debit whereas the online account doesn't.1

Thanks I will try that.The_Green_Hornet said:If you have a smartphone you could install the EDF app as I believe that shows your account balance if you are on Budget Direct Debit whereas the online account doesn't.0 -
EDF is not consumer friendly - even the APP where it gives Account Balance is not correct. It does not give a rolling balance.
My Gas shows £0.00 - but that's because I am due to give a reading this week and then pay that invoice by DD. My calcs show about £20
My Electric is £100.44 CR - but that's because it only bills every 6 months. My calcs show about £125 CR
Keep your own spreadsheet add in the monthly DD and use your monthly readings.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
I don't have a problem with EDF, I've always been able to contact by phone ok and customer service helpful. However, I hate the six monthly billing and can't wait for their new software, or whatever is coming.
A couple of months ago I was between bills, I rang and gave them my latest readings and asked them to generate an up to date bill for me, which they did, no problem. It's a bit of a pain, but at least you do get a bill.
It didn't affect my six monthly cycle, I got another a couple of months later. The important things in life are not things ........0
