were now ready to get smart meters now some of the issues with early versions have been resolved.
we have BG for electricity and Shell for gas.
we have solar panels if it makes any difference.

which company should I get in first?

in general customer service wise I’m much happier with Shell than BG, but wondering about the technicalities.

Go for the electricity meter  installation first. The gas smart meter needs to pair with the comms hub that sits above the electricity meter.

    Solar panels make no difference.
