Cheque made out to executor

I've been sent a cheque by utility co. for small amount payable to executor, can I pay this into my own account ? (No will or probate and I'm only surviving relative) Same bank has already paid funds into my account from the deceased's account if this makes any difference.

I have paid them in at the cash point in the past with no problems.
