BOGOF Deals?

Options
There was a discussion on Channel 5 yesterday to discuss whether BOGOF deals should be banned.  No one appeared to know that these deals are virtually non existent these days. Not seen one for ages and would think they will remain in the distant past.
The presenter of the discussion also presents Secrets of your Supermarket Food, so you would have thought at least he would have known.

However I may have been missing all these BOGOF deals that should be banned, so would be grateful if anyone knows currently of any, would post them here.

Not seen any but it's not something I'd look for.  Why would you ban something like that?  Talk about nanny state!

They were always for junk food if I remember rightly. You never got a free one on milk or bread loaves or bags of tatties. Or bladdy big lumps of cheese!

Perhaps not BOGOFs anymore, but still a lot of multibuy offers around - e.g. 3 for 2, and ones like £3 each or 2 for £5.
Did they suggest any reasoning for banning them ? I seem to recall it may have been one of Boris's brainwaves to try to reduce childhood obesity, although if so  it was probably as well thought through as some of his other ideas.....
I know some people have said in the past that such offers tend to favour large families and the better off who can both afford and will use large quantities of an item, and that price reductions on single items offers are more customer friendly.

I don’t think it’s nanny state, I am annoyed it’s been put back a year now until October 2023. The ban is only on junk food bogof

Bogof was generally on junk/high fat/high sugar things and quite rightly will be banned.
