:santa2: Hi Can anyone advise why my remote controls and magic eyes only work intermittently? i have main TV downstairs and ariel connection to RF2 output on Sky box, and a device with four ariel out sockets with two being used, with cable going to ktichen and bedroom. They all have their own remote controls and the kitchen and bedroom have magic eyes and all have been working fine until the last few weeks. The red light continues to show on magic eye and remote control blinks when I used it, only sometimes it changes channel and sometimes it does not. (The two in the kitchen and bedroom have nto been set up to enable the TV as there is no analogue service here)
Ive tried tightening up the cables and checkign the connections but all seems well. i dont understand why it would all suddenly stop working. Might it be the weather? the cabling runs outside the house.
Any ideas appreciated

First thought is check the batteries in the RCs. The lights may be coming on, but it doesn't mean there's enough power to operate the circuits correctly. Take a fresh set of batteries and try them in each RC in turn. It'll soon confirm or eliminate a battery problem.te audire non possum. musa sapientum fixa est in aure.0

The usual problem with Magic Eyes is poor connection problems, but you say you have checked them all.
You may wish to give the connections a clean with an emery board or similar, see if that effects a cure.
I don't think the weather will be causing the problem/s.
Weak batteries in Remote Controls can also give problems.0 -
Thanks for your reply. Sorry, should have said: Already tried this about one week ago- thought it had worked, but ..wrong.. keeps on happening.0
