Residential parking space ticket - Going to court

I' m a tenant and I was provided a resident permit parking. During the Christmas period while we were away, We delayed changing the current permit sent and we got a ticket. We had clear communication with the parking control  company and the state agent, explaining that it was a genuine error and we have the correct permit, we even apologised for the error. Capital Car Park Control totally ignored our explanations. There is no mention on the contract about the parking but we have letters from the state agent that we are allowed to use the parking space. The original bill was for £100.00 now they are adding costs and they are asking £327.00  to compensate the damages that we caused them. We requested a breakdown of the damage a year ago and we have not received any detail. Only the letter from Northampton business centre that they are going ahead. We pay our rent and that is our parking space. There is a letter from the state agent in which they state that neither the state sentiments landlord will do anything if we get a bill. Please any advise will be helpful.

PPCs routinely change the permit date/type/colour/style/shape around the end of the year because they know people will be away from home and will therefore miss changeover deadlines/not get the message in time.

What does your lease say about parking, PPCs, PCNs, paying PCNs, permits, court, the right to quiet enjoyment, and the exclusive right to use a parking space/car park? What it doesn't say is just as important.
