    That’s the bit that bothers me too, it could exclude some of the customers who are most engaged with the system just because they’ve already done some energy saving themselves.
    That's what these things appear to do, in the same way as those who fixed their tariff not benefitting from the EPG.

    That’s a very very different thing.

    The EPG is like saying mortgage interest rates are not allowed above 5%. If you’ve fixed below that, you get to keep the rate you have.

    Some of these proposed “use less energy” schemes are like saying get 20% off your council tax but only in band E and above.

    I'm probably an extreme example but here's my data from Thursday - I'd struggle to reduce my 1600-1900 peak consumption any more than this!:
