Coffee was brewing so I'm now back under my duvet with it. 😀The rain yesterday was just horrific at times. One bout was like being in a waterfall whilst others were similar to those really sharp massage showers. Most odd. I managed to get out in a short interval between them, only to the tip with the very big cardboard boxes which the side tables came in. The rest of my day was slothful. 😎This morning I'm going to visit a couple of friends for a lazy breakfast, it'll be lovely to sit and natter for a while. I don't need any shopping so the rest of my day is my own until it's time for SCD.I hope that everyone is safe and warm. Happy Saturday to all.9

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.I'm tired already, I wish I didn't wake up at 4am every morning, it's wearing me out. However, we must keep going. I didn't get what I wanted in Durham yesterday, but I went to H*bbycraft a few miles away and got some lightly glittered felt. I'm doing well with the Christmas stockings so far, will continue with them today.Part of the store was inaccessible, they'd had to close it off because they'd had a major roof leak in the torrential rain of the night before. It was sunny and quite warm when we were in Durham, plenty of people about as well.Izzy I hope you are all right up there in the Durham Dales, I know it's bleak when the weather is bad,Camelot, it's scary that violence is getting worse in your school - I don't suppose it's just your school either.TA, glad you had your lovely gd's with you again, even though they do eat you out of house and home! Congratulations to your dd as well, on getting a new job.I've read through yesterday and can't remember everything, I know i've missed people out.Good wishes to everyone though, hope today will be a good day.Take care folks.10

Morning All
Chilly and damp this morning although there's a beautiful pink sky at the moment. Washing on the pulley, I seem to have managed to keep on top of it this week thank goodness.
Nothing will get done in the house until tomorrow afternoon as I have the little one later this morning until tomorrow lunchtime, her Mum and Dad are going to a wedding. We'll probably spend the day playing (well, I'll be told what to do and say) and may go for a swim later.
Congrats to your DD TA, always a bit scary moving jobs when you've been at the same place for a long time.
Congrats also to your DD Ruby, she's a strong young lady.
Enjoy your breakfast Gers.
I had a haircut yesterday, it's quite a bit shorter but I think I like it! I'm always cold when I come home so I treated myself to a nice warm bath before snuggling under a blanket to watch Gardeners World, lovely new Puppy Monty has.
Have a good weekend, take care. XX8 -

Morning all. OH has gone to Cardiff to play his little men so I have the day ahead of me to go under the stairs and start doing something there. I need to fit in the jars of salsa I made in Italy [ I was going to miss my tomatoes ripening]. My cousins son brought 20kg of them round and I spent a happy day processing by hand but next time, I will take my cousin up on her offer of using her machine to process...All the food shelves are full to bursting and I have some rice and pasta that I won't use to take to the community fridge next week. Going through food to chuck out netted a box of amaretti biscuits and a couple of sticks of savoiardi biscuits so obviously, desserts are not my strong point. All other out of date stuff is still edible and has been shuffled to the front so again, need to work on my fifo.Gers, enjoy your breakfast out with company! Scarlet, glad you found soem felt..enjoy crafting! camelot, my sister messaged to say the same thing about his new puppy
Izzy, hope you have a relaxing weekend..Bella, have a lovely holiday! Nels, that was a bit lumpy throat time, hope she enjoyed her new scarves...nanny, glad to see that appointments are being made in earnest for a change...Right, got to feed cats, take care today, stay dry!

Morning all; bright, sunny but chilly here.
DH has just left for an event about an hour away so I have the house to myself for most of the day. I need to get a bit of specialist food shopping as my sister in law is coming back tomorrow, to stay with us until Friday. We have a couple of days out booked, including a trip to Windsor on Monday.
Yesterday was busy but we got most of the garden tidied and a new shower door delivered, so just awaiting it being fitted now. We also went to Watford folk club last night. Good concert and saw lots of people we knew in the audience so that was fun catching up. I didn't realise how late it finished though and we weren't home until midnight - late for me these days
Will make a move in a minute. Happy Saturday everyone!7 -
Morning everyone
Feels very chilly here this morning so I've put the heating on for a little while. Nice chat with eldest DD in Germany while I was still in bed - she's off to Istanbul tomorrow for a week, for work till Friday then a few of them are staying for the weekend to explore.
Little one is staying tonight as DD is going out. I'm just the same Camelot - we play what she wants to play! She's lovely company.
I have a Tesco delivery this morning and then I'll go down to do dad's banking as I'll have little one with me tomorrow morning. Only substitution is a bag of mixed mints instead of Mint Imperials that I will send back - it's difficult to find Mint Imperials here just now.
Washing is done and ready to hang outside. I had to buy a new clothes prop as mine snapped in half last week - I'll have to try to remember to put it in the shed rather than leave it outside so it doesn't rust.
Oh there's the Tesco van so I'll wish you all a good day x

Hello all, the sun is out after a day of rain yesterday, it mizzled until 4pm then we had a torrential downpour.
Today Mr Fix It has taken the car over the valley to his friends to change the radiator, he's younger and will do any crawling on the floor if necessary as himself can no longer manage that part now (I find getting back up worse!). So now like others I am "home alone" too, sadly I won't be getting up to any shenanigans though as I've got washing and hoovering to do, oh I do live such an exciting life 😂 The first load is in the wm and a second is waiting it's turn and I'll hang it all out in the sunshine.
The beef casserole was lovely yesterday, so I'll portion up the LO's ready for freezing, we may even have some for tea today again followed with the last of the strawberries and some ice cream/cream for pud.
Have a good Saturday all.
Take care, and stay safe

Hi everyone,
It's a slow start for me again, I'm still struggling with this nasty cold and lost yesterday to it. Hopefully I'm on the homeward stretch now. We missed the quiz last night, our team took part but didn't do very well (blowing my own trumpet I have a brain wired to remember lots of trivia). We've got another quiz next week so hopefully we'll do ok in that one.
Not a lot will be happening again today but Laura and I need to go through all the baby clothes in the loft, she onlly has about 6 weeks left and a week of that will be spent in Wales.
Scarlet, your talk about Christmas stockings has reminded me that I will need to make two for the new little ones in the family (and we will need to track down the one I made for Esben).
Have a good day.7 -
Sorry that you're still not well snoozer, colds tend to linger much longer than the usual three days nowadays. My breakfast with friends was lovely even though their ground source heating isn't working. I knew before I went so wrapped up well. Now I'm home and will settle in to watch '39 Steps' and then 'The Lady Vanishes' this afternoon. Good old fashioned thrillers.6
