I updated my post but being joint tenants would not stop you from getting a severe disability addition. However are you and your joint tenant close relatives?Murphybear said:

Yes I did. It’s a very long story, we have known each other for 27 years and were partners for a few years but haven’t been for many years. I can’t live on my own as I’m vulnerable. It’s easier to call him “my husband” but it’s a bit of a joke. The council and DWP know all the details and are happy with it.In a previous thread earlier in the year you said you live with your husband.0 -
We are not legally related in any way. We were partners briefly but weren’t married and are just friends, have been for a long time.Robbie64 said:

Pension credit would top up your Income to £252/week this will include the SDP, so there will only be a small entitlement.Murphybear said:
No partner, I’m single, my income (3 pensions) is £243.71 a week.whizzywoo said:Perhaps if you list the income of your self and partner (if applicable) we can work it out?If you claim for help with the rent this will entitle you to full housing benefit and council tax reduction.0 -

Yes we areRobbie64 said:Are you joint tenants? How did you declare the other person on the PC claim form? (I don't know the wording of the form so don't know what it asks).Did the DWP include an amount for severe disability when working out whether you were entitled to Pension Credit? If you are classed as living alone (which normally applies to joint tenants unless partners or closely related) then you should get a small amount of PC each week. The DWP would need to investigate your living circumstances before classing you as living alone.See the IS10 form at https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/is10_form for the questions you would need to answer (you can download a copy of the form from the link at IS10 Interactive.pdf, the link is near the bottom of the page)
