We had an email earlier,SSE are moving/migrating everyone over to OVO..which we knew zilch about, and OVO want monthly direct debits. We are on a 2 yr fixed deal with SSE till June 2023,and they are trying to wriggle out of it by saying its OVO not us.After a long 1 hr phone call, and duff info from SSE,they have admitted we will be on our fixed rate deal, after I threatened them with Ofgem. They just more or less lied and suggested cancelling d/d,moving onto a standard rate..etc..I mentioned Ofgem again then said,ok,lets go talk to Ofgem. So if anyone has a fixed deal with SSE and are moving, they must homour Ts&Cs as contract..now has anyone else had issues/Martin Lewis! HELP!

They are changing the name at the top of your bill. You do know that OVO and SSE are the same company?0

Yep...but SSE are trying to say because they are migrating us to OVO,and they never told us,our fixed deal no longer applies..last I spoke they now backtracked and said, fixed deal etc will be honoured in full....just though to make anyone else aware of this..think they are trying it on a bit..0

They are migrating everyone from SSE to ovo in the same way they would migrate customers from any other supplier(I believe to move customers to the relevant supply license).[Deleted User] said:They are changing the name at the top of your bill. You do know that OVO and SSE are the same company? In my experience to date:Their processes don’t smoothly follow the documentation they are sending.
All phone numbers point to OVO who often have to give an SSE number to redial.
The ovo staff are not always up to speed on much of it.
They are incredibly difficult to get through to via any channel.
Changes to billing are bouncing backward and forwards between SSE and OVO and take up to a week to reflect on both sides.0 -
Yes, they are doing it terribly, but some other posters have seemed to have the view that they were being sent to another supplier without their consent so thought it was worth clarifying.Jonboy_1984 said:
