Listing Returns - BIN and Auction-Style

Options
Is there any difference in return policies between Auction-Style and BIN listings?

I'm a private seller, and generally only list when there is an 80% off fee's offer (considering the £1 max fee seems to be dead now).
Generally, I've always listed auction style with best offer as I understand with auction-style listings buyers can only return if the item is faulty or not as described etc. and you can set to not allow change of mind returns.
However, does selling as a fixed price BIN listing (with best offer) mean they can return regardless, or do the same rules still apply - ie, I can still set it to not allow change of mind returns?

Same rules apply to both. However, anecdotally refusing change of mind returns can often push a dodgy buyer into finding a fault and using SNAD instead. I have returns enabled on all my private listings, I have a fully explained refund policy that says items are returned at buyers own cost and need to be tracked and insured for their safety.

Ive seen some sellers state they charge a 'restocking fee' of 10%, for example.
Is this allowed via eBay, since I always thought a refund simply returns the full value....?

No it is not allowed, it is also not a legal statement in the UK.

I suspect it is not allowed for retail sales, but B2B sales often mention a restocking fee if they allow returns.
You have much less protection with a business transaction as the parties are expected to check out terms and conditions before buying or selling.
