Expanding foam nozzle…how to clean

As title really…..whenever I’ve used expanding foam before, I’ve not been able to clean the nozzle for future use ergo the can was then wasted. As pennies are tighter now obviously I don’t want any waste if I can help it.
any ideas?

IIRC, if you turn the can upside down, only the compressed gas comes out without foam and cleans the nozzle. For a better result you can clean it with acetone then (before the foam dries).Spare 'straws' cost about £2.50 for 5 at SF.1

Every can I've had needed to be inverted to use.The nozzle rarely cleans full with gas alone, cleaning with a solvent like acetone is almost always required... or just plan jobs so a whole can is used in one go.3

I've found the propellant invariably leaks out and the can becomes useless after a few days/weeks. Given up on using the cans with builtin applicator nozzles. Always impossible to lay down a thin bead. A foam gun is much easier to control, and if you get a good one, doesn't leak propellant.Worth getting a can of gun cleaner at the same time - The stuff can also be used to clean out the straw/nozzle on your hand held cans.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
