Grey looks excellent in them. I just looked it up there and it looks really well.Jenni_D said:

How come MG have cars and no-one else does?
Do MG have a magic chip and battery cupboard?
They have built a quantity of various models and colour options and shipped them to dealerships (some arrived, some still en-route) for dealers to sell. If you're lucky your preferred option is available/en-route, otherwise it is supposedly 16 weeks lead time (although I suspect that's a bit of "dealer speak" as all the cars ship from China).
They may well be like Subaru used to do here, whereby there are an allocation of cars built and shipped to the uk and then the dealers work from that. As you say, if the spec you want isnt in that stock, then it comes in the next batch.
So their cars are built, shipped here, then sold, rather than sold, built, shipped that most cars built in europe would be.

Something like that could be why the website for the local MG Dealership to me shows no MG4 available and suggest an MG5 instead.motorguy said:

The next furthest Dealership website shows a choice of 28 available.
I'm also sure if I was actually in the local Dealership with an order to place, there would be options available.1 -
Looking on the MG website and they have certainly improved their EV model range since I last looked (before COVID) when the range was very short. There seems to be now:
- MG4 - between Fiesta and Focus, range 281 miles
- MG5 - roughly equivalent to Focus Estate, range (try as I might, I could not find this figure on the MG website, but Autotrader suggest 250 miles)
- MG ZS - between Puma and Kuga, range 273 miles
All the cars seem well-equipped with two trim levels (SE and Trophy) and few (if any) options plus a long warranty (7 years, 80k miles) - OK, the mileage limit on the warranty is a bit measly.
I am not sure where the cars are in terms of achieving good safety ratings - they should score well with the collision avoidance equipment available but actual ratings seem missing.
It would be great if they bought out a Mondeo-equivalent regular car as an EV at an affordable package. Like a replacement for the ZT of old. Looking at what they have so far, such a car would almost certainly meet my needs.
A little sporty number would be great. I'd call that the MGB and I'd do a little coupe (GT) version also. Would be fun as a light-weight EV.0 -
No NCAP rating yet for the MG4 as it is too new, but is expected to be NCAP 5. Not sure about the MG5 - it's been out long enough to have been included in testing.

Me too - my MG4 is currently on a ship in the Med and I'm taking delivery before month end 😎Exactly this - in fact I've just ordered a car this morning after a test drive ... a new MG4.
