We've reached the end of our 24M contract with BT. We paid £34.99 at the start for Fibre 100 and now pay £39.xx due to the RPI increases.
New customers are getting Fibre 500 for £30.99 a month but the best they will offer me is the Fibre 100 for £34.99 again. I called to cancel, they wouldn't budge and said if I found a better deal elsewhere to transfer my number so there is no loss of service.
I signed up to Vodafone Full Fibre 500 at £35 a month over 24M which is a better deal. I was quite happy with BT though and if they offered me the same Fibre 500 for £35 I'd stay. Do they have a "win back" team that may give me a call?

That's what retentions is for when you phone up. They may contact you but more likely probably won't. Their loss.

When i use to manage a BT account for my parents when I cancelled and ported the number away I never had any contact from BT to try and get me to stay during the period after speaking with their inbound retentions.0

It was the same for me earlier this year when my contract expired. BT offered a silly price to renew and wouldn't budge so I went with Vodafone and saved £30 a monthNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers1
