Cost of living payment

Hi can anyone explain to me why I am not entitled to the cost of living payment ? I receive EESA from the dwp.

If your ESA is not means tested than that is why you are not entitled, do you get any other benefits?  If you tell us how much your weekly payment is someone will know whether it contains a means tested element?

Hi I have not recieved cost of living payment I was elegible for universal credit from 10th September but job centre has told me because I wasnt paid until 16th of October I do not qualify, I have read it as recieving or entitled to on any day from August 23rd to Sept 23rd ?

The Jobcentre is correct.  You need to have had a payment for an assessment period ending between 26 August - 25th September.  That means you'd have had to have a claim open by 26th August at the latest to be eligible for the Cost of Living payment.

The test is did you receive a payment for an assessment period ending within the qualifying dates. Your assessment period, based on a payment date of 16th October, ended on 9th October.
