Hi everyone!

My brother has messaged me asking if I have heard of guardianangel.network before. They are offering a service for both types of lasting power of attorney forms for £120 but registration fees are not included. Has anyone had experience with these? Are they any good?

I've never heard of them and would suggest saving their £120 fee by DIY.

Never heard of them so can't comment, but as previous answer suggests, the DIY route is perfectly feasible. Have a look at https://www.gov.uk/power-of-attorney and https://www.ageuk.org.uk/information-advice/money-legal/legal-issues/power-of-attorney/
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

No Solicitors Regulation Authority number which means they are unregulated will writers for your purposes.
As others have said, DIYing is usually straightforward for lasting powers of attorney, and if you do want to pay for professional help for whatever reason, you should use a SRA-regulated solicitor.
  • Thanks for the replies. I'll have a look at the forms and see if I can help him with them. Are there any firms that you would recommend to help if we get stuck?

It is really straightforward to do it on the online Gov.uk site.  At every stage and question there are very useful notes on what to do.  If you are on certain benefits you get a reduced rate. I wouldn’t spend £120 extra getting someone to do it. You give them all the info anyway so you may as well DIY.
