Worth noting that Octopus have revised their Go and Intelligent rates for new sign-ups in light of the EPG.
    • The Go cheap rate is 12p/kWh and they've dropped all the "Go Faster" options.
    • For my region, E7 is 14.83p/kWh (but for seven hours, not four).
    • Intelligent Octopus hasd a 10p/kWh off-peak rate.
All three tariffs have the same peak rate, 43.37p/kWh in my region, and the same 42.86p/day standing charge.
    Sorry, the EPG?

Octopus have recently changed the formulas used for Tracker and (Incoming) Agile to make best use of the EPG.
There's a thread over on the main Energy board but, in essence, the new system is cheaper but the caps are higher (100p for Agile and E Tracker, 30p for G Tracker).

Are you saying those on the newer versions get a discount because their tariff has the possibility to go higher and so they get a discount even when it's lower?
They've changed the formulas for "New Agile" and "New Tracker". As an example, for Gas Tracker in my region (Southern):
    • Old Tracker: Gas unit charge: (W * 0.03615) + 1.316 p per kWh
    • New Tracker: Gas unit charge: MIN( MAX( (0.03615 * W) - 4.4, 0) + 1.316 , 100) p per kWh
As an example, here is how it looks for my region today:
    • Old Tracker: gas 3.74p/kWh, electricity 21p/kWh
    • New Tracker: gas 1.38p/kWh, electricity 7.71p/kWh
It's not so easy to compare "Old Agile" with "New Agile" but the differences are similar.
The net result is lower prices when prices are low (like today) but potentially higher when they're high ...

EDIT: And, since the formula changed, Incoming has mostly been cheaper than Outgoing. Yes you get paid more for export than you are charged for import. That's better than net metering, folks, and (while it lasts) makes batteries largely pointless (except during the evening peak).
