I have the ideal solution: just go and live in the local Cats Protection cat place. Or, if you want something a bit more fancy, try one of those licensed catteries. I hear they do a nice !!!!!! tail around happy hour.0

Ok. Someone mentioned cats need to go in and out of doors with a compulsion that matches their need to sit in any cardboard box. It’s pretty draughty with the door open and that is just the internal door to a not heated hallway. And I think I was averaging 15 seconds between a cat wanting to go out and one wanting back in (although it is more than usual because we are cat sitting so we currently have five cats upstairs). So I thought we might get a cat flap for the internal door to our bedroom. It doesn’t need to be super draught proof but not just a hole in the door. I remember cat flaps being quite noisy.Does anyone have a recommendation for a quiet cat flap?1

Ifyou fit a cat flap, they'll just sit at the door squawking until you open it for them.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.2 -

we have internal cat flaps. they werent anything special. i think we picked them up from wilko. honestly you dont notice the noise though. the same as we dont notice when the cat jumps up or goes off for a wander. its something your brain just tunes out unless you're watching for it.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.0 -

When a cat's at the door wanting to go out you get up to open the door. The cat then walks in 3 big circles, sits down, licks it's paw and cleans its face, then gets up and walks out. Same with a cat yowling to come in, as soon as you open the door it walks away for a few minutes.
Cats have to prove to their human that they are in charge and the human is merely a servant.Barnsley, South Yorkshire
