Hi everyone. I've previously posted to ask for advice about coming out of my iva. Fast forward a few months my iva has now been terminated and a few of my creditors have made contact. I owe around £6000 to 5 creditors. I made contact with the 2 main creditors this week PRA group who I owe £3800 and the debt collectors who my Halifax credit card got passed onto. I owe them £1009. I offered £100 a month to PRA and £80 a month to Halifax. I have been very honest with them and I explained to PRA that once my smaller debts have been paid within a year I can increase payment to them. Both want me to fill out income and expenditure forms before they can discuss a repayment plan. Are they likely to ask for for more evidence such as bank statements or accept what I say? I just want to get a plan in place so I can get on with my life. I feel like a dark cloud is hanging over me knowing I have to negotiate and battle with creditors. Thanks for reading.

Sorry can I just add. I'm tempted to get intouch with stepchange to see if I can get a dmp in place. I don't know if that would be better than dealing with creditors directly.0

Fill in the forms to your advantage.
No, you do not have to provide any evidence, make the forms say what you want them to say, do not predict the future to try and sweeten them up, it won`t work, and nor is it necessary.
Debt purchasing companies are usually flexible, only pay what is affordable, with the cost-of-living crisis right now, they are lucky to be getting anything for non-priority debts.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
