Payments don't go through

I have problems making a payment through my bank. I tried more than once and it didn't go through. Is it because I received a new card by Lloyds bank and the fact that I have to use it first outside with the pin in order to be able to use it at home online? Thank you

What do you mean by "payment through my bank" and "didn't go through"? If you are paying for something by card online, then you don't need to use your card in a chip and PIN transaction, but you might need to activate a new card (though this didn't used to be the case with Lloyds).
  • Pay somebody online. But the money of this account are also the same money on the card. That's why I asked.

If you mean a bank transfer, then this wouldn't have anything to do with receiving a new card. What does it say when the payment doesn't go through?

You have a current account with Lloyds Bank?

Lloyds have just sent you a new debit card because the old one expired? And a new pin?

You have tried to make an on line payment with this new debit card?

Were you instructed to  activate the card before using it?
