Switching but listed as non-domestic

I am currently with a business supplier after moving into a new build property. I have been trying to switch but my property is listed on the national database as 03 - Non-domestic. I have asked my current supplier (a business supplier) about correcting this and they keep saying they have and that the faster switch process means that it's the new supplier that needs to make the changes. When I try to switch every single new supplier tells me that the switch can't be made because I am listed as non-domestic and that needs to be changed by my current supplier before they can take me on.

I requested this switch over 6 weeks ago and yet when I speak to my current supplier they keep telling me there is nothing they can do, they have done everything they are supposed to and it's up to my new supplier but I can't get a new supplier because I'm listed on the national database as non-domestic and it says 'The domestic indicator is set to true, this conflicts with the MPAN designation'. Nobody seems to know what this means and I am stuck.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Sounds like your current supplier has only done half the job, and they are the only ones that can fix it.
Alternatively, have you tried switching to a supplier that has both business and domestic customers, like Octopus for example, so you could move across as business and then let them sort out the change to domestic?
