Hi all.
I help out at a local yoof club type thingy. It has charitable status, but is considered a 'commercial' premises by energy suppliers.
It is often only used on two evenings per week, for around 3 hours each eve, and then for other groups during the day, but again probably only amounting to around 2 hours for 2 or 3 sessions. Soooo, probably only around 12 hours of actual heating and electricity use on average per week.
We have Hive control, so heating only comes on when actually required.
Ok, I am guessing that the best type of energy plan would therefore be one with a low daily standing charge, and a more costly kW/hr energy cost? Does that make sense?
If so - does anyone know of the best commercial providers for this?!
Thanks.

Are you paying 5 or 20% VAT ?⁷

The centre will be under contract and it's not as simple to change as in the domestic market.

What is your annual consumption ?

PPS can't really comment about standing charges - in theory they are all different. I have two buildings and gas s/c in one is £9 / day and the other £4 -   converse to what you might expect the lower one has the lower consumption
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

    Thank you Robin.
I'd need to check all these details - I did ask at last night's meeting re the annual consumption, but our Treasurer has recently resigned and the info wasn't available. The other stuff I should be able to find easily enough.
Will come back once I know
