Where does the shop-owner get these non price marked cans from?
They do not have the multi-pack warning below.

Have I fallen into a parallel universe?  The vast majority of goods are not price marked.

Goods get marked by the manufacturer when they are on a special offer from them, rather than a  retailer offer.

You are being ripped off / overcharged anyway paying even 85p for a can of sugar water.

It's worth what the person is willing to pay.

Can't see the issue here. There are always two options.
    1) See price, happy with price, pay price.
    2) See price, unhappy with price, don't pay price.

Or as we often said where I worked .
' The power of the supplier is to set the price. The power of the buyer is whether to buy or not'

Clearly you have not been a cafe at an attraction, or a service station recently. Even £1.85 would be on the low side.

I bought a can of coke today from an off-license and it cost me £1.10.
It’s £2.05 for a can of Coca Cola in the Tesco cafe at our nearest store.

Do many places sell single cans for under £1 these days?

I bought a can of coke today from an off-license and it cost me £1.10. It was an umarked can which did not have a price. The price-marked cans are 85p.
I bought a 7 up plastic bottle few weeks ago from another off-license and they charged me £1.70! Price-amrked bottles are about £1.30...
Then errr... why did you buy them?  Presumably the shopkeeper told you how much they were going to charge you before you touched your card in or handed over the cash?

If you agree to pay £1.10 for something that should be sold for 85p, that's your problem, nobody else's.

(PS - it may not just be off-licences who are ripping you off... )

Didn't have any other shops nearby. :(
